The St. Louis Blues' Jordan Kyrou could be a huge part of the team's roster shakeup, as the rebuild continues, the Chicago Blackhawks and Kyle Davidson could take advantage of these rumors and call in on the availability of the former 2nd-round draft pick.

All is not well in Blues-land, as it appears Doug Armstrong is not done shaking up the roster just yet. According to recent reports from NHL Insider Nick Kyproes, Kyrou's name has come up in trade rumors again.
Of course, for Kyrou, any team that can pry him from the Blues' clutches would expect to pay a pretty penny for the former 35th overall pick, who has been a dynamic forward since his arrival as a "star" during the 2021-22 season, scoring 75 points.
Kyrou's spent the majority of his career with the Blues, and at age 27 could be subjected to a fresh start, depending on whether he'd waive his no-trade clause.
Kyrou played all 82 NHL games last season, scoring 36 goals and 70 points. An impact player on any team.
Would he waive it to come to Chicago? With the Blackhawks, they have an entirely new roster, with young prospects trickling in year-by-year, and could be an exciting prospect for the 27-year-old forward who could end up on the same line as Connor Bedard or Frank Nazar, depending on where Jeff Blashill sees him as a fit.

The Cost

At a costly cap hit of $8.125 million, Armstrong may not want to retain a percentage of his contract, which would make the move cheaper for the Blackhawks to acquire.
And given that cap space is a luxury in this league if you're a contender, the Blackhawks have plenty enough space to fit him under their $21.4 million available, per PuckPedia.
Moving Kyrou would give Armstrong flexibility to sign players like Jimmy Snuggerud and Dalibor Dvorsky. Kyrou could be the top-six forward who sparks a movement up the ranks in the Central Division this year.
If Kyrou can be sold on the prospect of a contending future in Chicago, Davidson should package it with the availability of playing alongside Connor Bedard or Frank Nazar without hesitation.
The team isn't in its final form just yet, but Kyrou could be one of the final puzzle pieces needed in the lineup to get there.
It may cost a first or 2nd-round pick and a prospect to make a deal happen with Doug Armstrong, but it'd be worth the cost.

Should GM Kyle Davidson of the Chicago Blackhawks trade a 1st-round pick + a prospect for forward Jordan Kyrou of the St. Louis Blues?
