A couple seasons ago, Jonathan Toews retired as the Captain of the Chicago Blackhawks. But that doesn't stop the love the Hawks fans have for Toews, and the love Toews has for the city.
During his time in Chicago, Toews brought home three Stanley Cups, in 2010 beating the Philadelphia Flyers, 2013 beating the Boston Bruins, and 2015 beating the Tampa Bay Lightning. He and Patrick Kane really led the city.
There was an r33m foundation event today, and Toews showed up for an autograph and photo opportunity, which of course, sold out.
One fan expressed her and everyone else's love for Jonathan, telling him how much we miss him. Toews responded by how much he misses us, too.
«.@JonathanToews is and always will be one of the good ones... I told him how we miss him and he said, "And I miss all of you."
When asked if he wanted a #TeamMurray band he said, "For sure! Most definitely! He's in my thoughts." He stuck his hand out for me to place on his wrist.»
He also accepted a Team Murray wristband. Just a cool dude who loves the fans just as much as we love him.
