The Nashville Predators have been terrible this season, after spending big to acquire free agents like Jonathan Marchessault, and Steven Stamkos.
You'd have thought they were actually going to compete for a Stanley Cup in the NHL, and now are one of the worst teams in the league. With an 11-8-7 record in the Central, they're just above the Hawks.
Now, they circle back to a former Blackhawk who has been playing in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals, Vinnie Hinistroza.
The team has called up the depth forward who signed with the Predators during the offseason.
Hinistroza has been on a tear in the AHL, scoring 33 points( 11 G, 22 A) in 26 games with the Admirals.
His production this season is only 2 points shy of his entire production last season with the WBS Penguins scoring 35 points in 42 games in the AHL.
The move is to give the Nashville Predators needed secondary scoring, which they've lacked the entire season.
The team has failed to give goalie Jusse Saros the support needed to regularly win games, a talking point we'd never thought we'd have to address for the Preds until this year.
While the move won't be the one that will give the Predators a Stanley Cup in the future, the offense has been an anemic 2.44 GF/G average per game.
Hinistroza has never won a Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks, but he could be part of a team that could in the future.
Is Hinistroza good enough to secure a full-time spot in the NHL again?
