Chicago Blackhawks reportedly on the verge of trading young defenseman due to defensive logjam

Per a report from NHL analyst Frank Seravalli, the Chicago Blackhawks could be considering a trade of defenseman Wyatt Kaiser, who hasn't yet agreed to a contract extension, despite being just a few weeks away from the seasons return.
Young Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Wyatt Kaiser has recently finished his entry level contract but remains without a deal for the upcoming year with training camp quickly approaching this month.
Per NHL analyst Frank Seravalli, the Blackhawks, who already have multiple young defensemen, could be considering a trade of Kaiser thanks to that large number of players.
»But the interesting thing for the Chicago Blackhawks and looking at their defense moving forward is, where's everyone gonna fit? They've got so many young guys on that back end, Kaiser part of it, and I think Kaiser and Allen could be your sort of perfect, ideal, prototypical, third pair moving forward.

Kaiser had 8 points (4G, 4A) in 57 games last year.
Blackhawks' Tyler Bertuzzi has been discussed in trade rumors
Kaiser isn't the only Blackhawks player that has been brought up in recent trade discussions.
Tyler Bertuzzi, who signed with the team last summer on a 4 year deal, has also been included in recent rumors despite scoring 23 goals in his 1st year with the team.
If the Blackhawks were to acquire a notable talent to play with Connor Bedard, they would need to create more salary cap space, and a potential trade of Bertuzzi would do so.
