The Rockford IceHogs have re-signed forward Ryan Gagnier and defenseman D.J. King for another year.
Mark Bernard, the team's General Manager, praised Ryan's first season, saying the following:
"He played well both here and in Indy. He's smart and keeps getting better. We're glad he's staying with us."
Last season, Ryan scored his first AHL goal and played five games with the IceHogs. He also scored 28 points in 53 games with the Indy Fuel in the ECHL.
D.J. King also made a good impression last season, mainly playing with the Indy Fuel, where he scored 11 points in 57 games. "D.J. really helped us last year and we're excited to see him grow," said Bernard.
King, 23, is entering his fourth pro season after playing in the OHL and with the U.S. National Team Development Program. His dad, Derek King, used to coach the IceHogs and now works with the Chicago Blackhawks.
