Rem Pitlick, a 26-year-old forward, is encountering hurdles in his NHL journey.

Traded to the Chicago Blackhawks this year in exchange for a 2026 7th-round pick, Pitlick now faces waivers once more.

His recent stint with the Blackhawks, spanning just 9 games, proved challenging.

His standout season occurred in 2021-2022, splitting time between the Minnesota Wild and Montreal Canadiens. In 66 games, he racked up 15 goals and 22 assists, totaling 37 points.

If Pitlick clears waivers, he may join the Rockford IceHogs, offering depth for future games.

Initially drafted 76th overall in the 3rd round of the 2016 NHL entry draft by the Nashville Predators, Pitlick boasts 132 NHL appearances, tallying 21 goals and 33 assists for 54 points.
