Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard, entering his 3rd year in the NHL, has a message for the rest of the League that will have Blackhawks fans looking forward to it.

The Chicago Blackhawks have now endured several losing seasons, and their most recent one cost head coach Luke Richardson his job in December; he was replaced by Rockford Ice Hogs coach Anders Sorenson, who took over the coaching job for the rest of the year on an interim basis.
They've since hired former Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill, while retaining Sorenson on his staff as an assistant. Additionally, they've also acquired 2x Stanley Cup winner Andre Burakovsky in a trade from the Seattle Kraken.
Connor Bedard, who is entering his 3rd year in the League after being taken 1st overall by the Blackhawks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, recently had a message for the rest of the League that will have Blackhawks fans fired up.
Personally, I can take a step in my game and, all these guys who are starting their careers, or are a couple years in, will take another step. We're going to make it tough on teams and that's our goal.

The Blackhawks are also linked to current Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson, who would be an amazing addition to the roster if they were able to make it happen.
Bedard hasn't been shy about voicing his disdain for losing during his short time with the Blackhawks, leading some fans to start growing concerned that they could potentially lose him to free agency when his current 3-year contract is up.
If the Blackhawks can improve their play this year an come within striking distance of a postseason spot under Blashill, it would certainly go a long way in convincing Bedard to improve his chances of signing a long-term extension with the club that has made him the face of their franchise.
