The Chicago Blackhawks have announced the re-signing of 6-foot-8 defenseman Louis Crevier, in an official message shared by the Chicago Blackhawks.
Defenseman Louis Crevier has landed his first one-way contract after spending two straight seasons between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Rockford IceHogs (AHL).
The organization now has four defenseman signed for the 2025-26 season, a low number currently, with defenseman Wyatt Kaiser still in need of a contract.
Last summer, it took the Blackhawks until July 29 to sign Crevier, reaching a deal much faster this time around.
Crevier, 24, scored three goals with one assists for four points and held a +/- rating of -6 in 32 games. His skill is not on the score sheet though, the 6-foot-8 defender uses his reach to outscale top lines that the Blackhawks have faced.
The 228lb defenseman tallied 49 blocks and 70 hits while averaging 17:17 of ice time per game.
