Blackhawks set to bury young prospect in the AHL next season

Louis Crevier of the Chicago Blackhawks is having a rough time on the ice in his first season.

He's deeply struggling when it comes to helping his team score goals or preventing the other team from scoring. In fact, his stats are some of the worst EVER recorded for defensemen.

Right now, Crevier's expected goal share (xGF%) is only 30%. This means that when he's playing, his team is expected to score a goal only about 30% of the time. And it gets worse: during 5v5 play, his team has been outscored 23 to 6 while he's on the ice.

These numbers aren't good news for Crevier or the Chicago Blackhawks.

As the team looks at its lineup and plans for the future, Crevier will need to step up his game to help the Blackhawks succeed. However, given his current performance, it's likely that he'll spend the next season in the AHL to work on his skills and develop properly.
