Two major changes set to strike the Blackhawks tonight
The Chicago Blackhawks are still in the process of rebuilding their team. Despite having a broken lineup, they are giving opportunities to their young players to gain experience by letting them play.
Although the team's record is not good, this approach will help them in the long run.
For tonight's game against the New York Islanders, the team has made two defensive changes.
Jarred Tinordi and Louis Crevier will not be playing. Instead, Connor Murphy, the Blackhawks' Alternate Captain, will be returning to the lineup.
Isaak Philips, who has been performing well in the NHL, will also be playing.
Isaak Philips has played 22 games with the Blackhawks this year and has been contributing with points.
Connor Murphy has tallied 8 points in 43 regular season NHL games this year, including 2 goals and 6 assists.
As he continues to convince the team that he is a full-time NHL player, Philips will play for the second consecutive night tonight.
