Connor Bedard dishes out cross check and causes brawl for Team Canada
Connor Bedard is getting rowdy in the IIHF and is not helping his teammates either.
During the match-up on May 12th against Team Denmark, Connor Bedard got a little too feisty for his own good.
Bedard would cross-check Jesper Jensen Aabo, of Denmark which resulted in a short melee.
The two would begin a struggle and some shoves, and blows, and eventually Jensen Aabo would heighten the tensions in retaliation.
#11 Alexander True, of the AHL's Charlotte Checkers, would clock in trying to pull Jensen Aabo back with no luck.
Bedard would suffer a 2-minute penalty for roughing, but even so, Team Canada would defeat Denmark 5-1.
While it's unclear what caused the small, controlled fight Bedard's discipline definitely is lacking right now. It could become detrimental to the Blackhawks or Canada in the future in a different scenario.
