The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League is in mourning today following the announcement of the passing of referee Nicolas Dutil at too young an age, just 52, following a long career.
The hockey world is in mourning once again following the loss of longtime Quebec Major Junior Hockey League referee Nicolas Dutil, who passed away at only 52 years of age.
"Sad news in the hockey world: former referee Nicolas Dutil passed away this morning at the age of 52.
He was an official in the QMJHL for 28 years.
My deepest condolences to his loved ones."

The entire QMJHL family is saddened to learn of the passing of Nicolas Dutil, one of the greatest referees in league history. Our condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
