The Seattle Kraken, determined to strengthen their playoff push, may be open to dealing one or two key players, possibly including fan favorites Yanni Gourde and Brandon Tanev.
After firing their inaugural seasoned head coach following a disappointing season, Seattle started the 2024-25 season with promise but has recently dropped six of their last seven games, landing them at 5-7-1 over 13 games.
For the Chicago Blackhawks, adding experienced players like Gourde and Tanev could bring both skill and energy to the lineup- while acquiring quality players at a cheap price due to their slow start.
NHL insider Frank Seravalli reports that the Kraken may feel they have too many forwards, several teams have shown interest in Gourde according to reports.
A bunch of teams have called about Gourde to this point, the Kraken have rebuffed that and not shown any interest in moving him. Tanev I think would be a little bit different,
Seravalli stated.
Gourde has been a steady point producer with back-to-back 48-point seasons, through 13 games this season, he has only three assists.
