Report: Hawks Trying To Sign KHL Forward.
"With the Chicago Blackhawks already eliminated from the playoffs the team's offseason has already started. Two years in a row with no playoff action, we can expect general manager Stan Bowman to make some changes and tweaks to the lineup. According to reports the Blackhawks are currently going after KHL forward Ilya Mikheyev. The 24 year old had 23 goals and 22 assists for Omsk Avangard this past season after scoring 19 goals the year before. According to NHL insider Darren Dreger, the Hawks' aren't the only team chasing Mikheyev as the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vegas Golden Knights are also making a push for the winger. Would you like to see him added to the Hawks' roster?Accurate. Leafs have been chasing this guy for awhile. As @IgorEronko has previously reported, Vegas in the mix and I believe, Chicago as well. Majority of NHL teams have shown interest. Decision this weekend. https://t.co/RwqAOwWogl
