Ex-Girlfriend of Former NHL star issues statement following his passing

After the tragic news of former Pittsburgh Penguins player Konstantin Koltsov's passing, Women's Tennis Association star Aryna Sabalenka addressed the heartbreaking loss.
Sabalenka clarified on social media that they had parted ways before his death, urging privacy for both their families during this difficult time.
Initially claimed to be a «detached blood clot» by Belarusian media, the Miami-Dade Police Department later confirmed Koltsov's death as a suicide.
«Konstantin's death is an unthinkable tragedy, and while we were no longer together, my heart is broken,» Sabalenka wrote in an Instagram story . «Please respect my privacy and his family's privacy during this difficult time.»
Drafted 18th overall by the Penguins in 1999, Koltsov played three seasons with the team from 2002 to 2006.
During his NHL career, Koltsov appeared in 144 games, contributing 12 goals and 26 assists, and he played in the KHL, recording 43 goals and 73 assists across 375 games. May he Rest in Peace.
