"The Chicago Blackhawks are looking for a new goalie this year and there will be no shortage of options. General manager Stan Bowman simply isn't willing to give Corey Crawford a market value contract and Crawford will be looking for a new team. Over the last couple of days we heard that the Blackhawks were making a serious push to land Matt Murray from the Pittsburgh Penguins. Murray is 10 years younger than Crawford so it's a move that kind of makes sense. However Elliotte Friedman reports that trade talks have fallen apart and broken off. "Hearing CHI/PIT had Matt Murray conversations and the Blackhawks had permission to discuss an extension. Things did not work out, so everyone continues examining their options."It sounds like the Blackhawks have decided to move on as Bowman seems to not want to pay up contract wise for Murray who's a restricted free agent.
