The ChicagoBlackhawks traded forwardArtemi Panarin back in 2017 and some fans still haven't gotten over it.
It was a tough trade, however the majority of the reasoning was because the Hawks just simply weren't going to be able to afford Panarin once he hits free agency after this season.
However before the season started and with Panarin likely to leave the Blackhawks either through trade or free agency after this season, chatter start to build up that the Hawks could go after Panarin and bring him back.
Bad news for those who wanted to see it happen.
General manager StanBowman was on the "Spittin Chiclets" podcast this weekend and straight up shot down any Panarin rumours.
The Hawks' GM said the team simply can't afford to pay what he'll get on the open market.
Are you dissapointed to hear that the Panarin dream is over?
