Update on Where Patrick Kane Will Play Next Season
As a result of his hip resurfacing surgery that was recently completed, Patrick Kane is in the process of rehabilitation.
The New York Rangers acquired Kane in a trade at the end of the season, and Kane became an unrestricted free agent after his contract expired.
Kane is reportedly enticed by the idea of joining Alex DeBrincat and the #Wings in Detroit. It was revealed by Pat Brisson and Kane, that during the middle of the 2023-2024 season, he intended to find his next team to play for in the middle of the next season. Despite this, it seems he might have already made up his mind about what to do.
A recent development in Kane's ongoing free-agent decision has been the fact that Kane is interested in signing with Detroit as his new home.
If that would happen, then the Wings would be able to roll out an All-American line with Dylan Larkin, Alex DeBrincat, and Patrick Kane at the wings if that were to happen.
This would mean a lot of familiarity for DeBrincat and Kane, as they were teammates in Chicago, with each other elevating their game as DeBrincat was a multiple 40+ goal scorer, and Kane was a point-per-game player, thanks to their excellent chemistry as teammates.
