In today's NHL, food choices and nutrition have taken center stage for all athletes entering the league and professional sports. Parents of these athletes go to great lengths to ensure that their children have access to the best food, coaching, and dietitians to optimize their sons' health.
This also applies to Connor Bedard, the recently drafted Chicago Blackhawk. During an interview with him and his mother, she disclosed that her son had never consumed fast food, candy, or any type of junk food as he was growing up.
Lifestyle changes and diets like these are gaining popularity among the general population as people seek to improve their health. For Bedard, reducing carbohydrates and sugars has had a significant impact, as evidenced by his outstanding numbers during the combine before the draft.
This news is music to the ears of Blackhawks management, as they hope Bedard will fulfill their expectations of becoming a mega superstar who can elevate the team to the next level, possibly leading them back to the playoffs and the Stanley Cup shortly.
Bedard's diet primarily consists of chicken, rice, shrimp, vegetables, fish, and some protein snacks.
