Unexpected turn of events in the investigation of Adam Johnson's Death
The story about Adam Johnson has taken an interesting turn recently, with the investigator looking into his death deciding to pause her inquiry until July.
Coroner Tanyka Rawden announced that she's stopping her investigation because the police are still looking into Johnson's death, with an arrest made in November related to that.
Rawden said that if the police finish their investigation without charging anyone before July, she will resume her inquiry.
Johnson, who played for the Nottingham Panthers, tragically died on October 28, 2023, when he was hit in the neck by the skate of his opponent, Matt Petgrave of the Sheffield Steelers.
His death had a big impact on the hockey community, leading to changes in the rules about equipment in different leagues.
USA Hockey recently announced that they're making neck guards mandatory for all players under 18 in their program from now on.
