As the Chicago Blackhawks prepare for a full rebuild, they will likely be looking to move some of their veteran players, including defenseman Connor Murphy. With three years remaining on his contract and a $4.4 million average cap hit, Murphy's availability has already sparked interest from several NHL teams.

Here are three potential landing spots for the 30-year-old:

Buffalo Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres, who are in need of defensive improvements, could be a promising landing spot for Murphy. As a big shutdown defender, he would fit well with the young Sabres roster and could benefit from playing alongside some of their more talented players.

Washington Capitals

The Washington Capitals are also in the market for a defenseman and could benefit from Murphy's experience and defensive prowess. Having played over 600 NHL games, Murphy could bring a solid presence to the Capitals and improve their chances of contending for the Stanley Cup next season.

Nashville Predators

The Nashville Predators could also benefit from adding Murphy to their roster. As a consistent top-four option, Murphy's defensive skills and physicality could complement the Predators' current roster and provide valuable leadership and experience to their younger players.

While the Blackhawks are looking to rebuild, Murphy's talent and experience could make him an attractive option for teams looking to strengthen their defense.
