Kirby Dach Says He Was Blindsided When He Got Traded to Montreal & More..
Former NHL goon John Scott currently has his own podcast by the name of ''Dropping The Gloves'' who are also affiliated with the popular site hockeyfights.com, John has a good relationship with former Blackhawk Kirby Dach and recently had him on the podcast for a 30-minute interview which they dug deep into touchy subjects around Chicago and also his future in Montreal.
Dach was traded on July 7th to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for the 13th overall pick in this years draft, not many Blackhawks fans saw that coming as Kyle Davidson has a rebuild plan- but a 21 year old big body player like Dach does not fit in it?
On the podcast Dach revealed that he sent teammate
Alex DeBrincat a message along the lines of ''I'll miss you in Chicago, best of luck''- moments later DeBrincat responded with ''I guess you're gone too lol''.
Question: What was going through your head when you found out??
Answer: i was blindsided and took me a while to let me emotions take over. i have a place in chicago and fell in love with the city, i got so comfortable that i didnt want to leave. it sucks to see that part of the hockey business. But I'm on to new times with the Canadiens and shaping my future.
Blackhawks fans wish Kirby Dach the best future going forward and the business side to hockey can be a severe wreck for some at times, a complete new relocation of there home and a new journey.
