Laila Anderson - the famous St. Louis Blues Superfan - reveals that the Wild is her second favorite team, and was in St. Louis to welcome Marc-André Fleury to her city.
When Laila was just 9 years old, she was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disease called hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). Without treatment, the disease is fatal. Having to spend so much time at St. Louis Children's Hospital allowed her to not only get the care she needed, but to meet members of her favorite hockey team. It was 2019, and they made a deal with her - that they would keep fighting if she fought with them. As we have seen, everyone held up their end of the bargain.
Laila has since received a bone marrow transplant, and is even playing hockey, herself. When she grows up, she wants to be a pediatric brain surgeon, and continues to inspire children, and adults, wherever she goes.
