The Chicago Blackhawks are currently struggling as a whole, but are struggling in one specific department with injuries, that being their goaltending.
Goaltender Alex Stalock has been out for quite some time after being ran over by a New York Islanders forward nearly one month ago, and has been in concussion protocol since.
Goaltender Petr Mrazek has endured his third injury of the season, another groin injury, but this time in a different spot then before- not good.
This opens up a tremendous opportunity for the Blackhawks future goalie between the pipes Arvid Soderblom who has been playing in the Hawks starting goaltender role.
While Stalock has been out for so long, it gives him a lot of time to spend recovering as well as thinking of potential new designs for his goalie gear setup.
Stalock has now revealed a mask and it features the Blackhawks mascot Tommy Hawk on it! It's pretty sweet.
