The Chicago Blackhawks recalled their top prospect, and future superstar Lukas Reichel last night, Reichel filled in Jonathan Toews's spot as he missed last night's game due to an unknown illness.

Reichel logged very little ice time which was just above 13 minutes, and did not stand out too much aside from a few specific plays, like the one that can be seen below.

The good news coming in this morning is that Jonathan Toews is fully healthy and has recovered from his illness, the bad news is, it isn't time for Lukas Reichel to shine yet in a Blackhawks jersey. Reichel is the face of the Blackhawks future franchise, and is very likely to be a full-time player next season at just twenty-one years of age.

The Blackhawks have sent Lukas Reichel back to the American League just 15 hours after he was called up. Reichel has dominated at just twenty years of age in the AHL with 80 points in 73 games- truly impressive for his age.

Reichel had quite the hectic day yesterday when he found out he was called up:

''Lukas Reichel found out he was called up when he got to the rink in Rockford. Driven straight to O'Hare, flew straight to Newark, got here 2 hours before game time. No nap. Didn't even eat lunch only «power bars and bananas.» He played 13:58.'' Said Ben Pope, CST.
