Blackhawks Prospect Lighting up the KHL
Back in April, Artur Kayumov signed a one-year deal with Lokomotiv in the KHL to remain with them for the upcoming season.
Kayumov, who was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks as the 50th overall pick in 2016, went on to have a career year in the KHL, posting 12 goals and 22 assists in 53 games.
#Blackhawks prospect Artur Kayumov signs one-year extension with Lokomotiv. #KHL
I believe Kayumov had hoped to sign with the Chicago Blackhawks as early as 2023-2024, but he has since decided to stay in Russia to play in the KHL and give us this beautiful goal.
TIE GAME

2-2 #KHL
The Lokomotiv won 3-2 in overtime after Kayumov scored two goals to give Lokomotiv the victory over Traktor Chelyabinsk.
There was no doubt that Kayumov knew where to be at the right time in front of the net to score the first goal that tied the game. While Kayumov's OT goal was a matter of great timing on a pass, which had appeared to be intended for someone who wasn't around at first, Kayumov quickly skated and unloaded on Chelyabinsk's goalie for the victory.
OVERTIME WINNER ‼️
