Blackhawks Begin To Prep For NHL Draft

The Blackhawks took to Twitter to show their fans some a little behind the scenes for this upcoming NHL draft. We heard from Director of Player Personnel, Mike Doneghey on how the team is preparing for the 2022 draft.

Doneghey said quote "It was kind of our end of year meeting. It was the first time we were able to get together with a group, the majority of us"

He went on to say "Guys who are on the table got different orders as far as teams to see, leagues to see, {etc.}. Hopefully in May we're able to get the whole group together as we get closer to draft"

Absolutely a positive sign to see the preparation for the draft starting with still 11 games left. And once they are able to get that whole group together that Doneghey reffered to, they will hopefully already have at least a ballpark idea of what general direction they want to go in come July 7th.

The Chicago Blackhawks right now only have potentially 8 picks in this years draft. With their first pick not coming until the second round at 39 overall. Will definitely be interesting to see how the first draft of the Kyle Davidson draft plays out.
