Connor Bedard absolutely dominated at the World Juniors this year. He was the youngest player on Team Canada, but he played like a seasoned veteran. He led the tournament in points, with 9 goals and 14 assists. It was truly impressive to see him dominate the competition like that.
But his success didn't stop there. He's also been tearing it up in the WHL this season. He played in 78 games in the regular season, and put up 71 goals and 72 assists for a total of 143 points. That's an average of 2.022 points per game and ranks 10th best in the league history. It's no wonder that he's being talked about as a potential first overall pick in this year's NHL draft.
Speaking of the draft there are only 11 days until the lottery happens, and the Chicago Blackhawks have the third best chance at getting the first overall pick? They have an 11.5% chance, which is pretty good. It'll be interesting to see who they end up selecting if they don't get the top pick.
