The Ottawa Senators head coach Travis Green sent a message to the Chicago Blackhawks after their 7-3 loss at the United Center.

The Chicago Blackhawks surprised a lot of people by beating the Ottawa Senators last night.
Travis Green and his men were coming off two straight wins in which they scored seven goals each and got a taste of their own medicine against the Hawks.
After the game, the Sens head coach had some interesting comments about his team's and the Hawks' efforts.

Travis Green Shares His Thoughts On Blowout Loss To The Chicago Blackhawks

In Ottawa, the start of the season hasn't been going too well, with captain Brady Tkachuk expected to miss several weeks due to a hand injury.
But it mustn't be considered an excuse to lose.
According to Green, the team must prepare better in order to be ready to start the game from the beginning, and both teams got what they deserved last night.
In his own words:
«At the beginning of the game we talked about needing to be ready to start the game. I didn't think we were sharp, I didn't think we had our skating legs.

I do like that we found our game, pushed back in the second period, had a great chance to tie it. We got what we deserved tonight. They deserved to win the game tonight.»

The Senators' goaltender Linus Ullmark also shared his thoughts on the loss, adding the players' perspective to the situation: the Sens played the second of back-to-back games.
«It's not easy winning in this league. You can't go out there and put up seven two nights in a row and then expect to do it a third time.»

«There's a skill to playing in back-to-backs, especially in the second game. It's really tough, especially when you're doing the travel as well. There are a lot of things today I think we could have done better. We just have to look at ourselves in the mirror and come to terms with what we did, learn from it, and move on.»

Travis Green, Linus Ullmark, and the Sens will be back in action tomorrow night against the Calgary Flames.
