Chicago Blackhawks forward has officially left the organization
Chicago Blackhawks forward Jalen Luypen, who was an unrestricted free agent who couldn't agree on a contract with the organization, has joined the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays.
A young member of the Chicago Blackhawks organization has decided to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
Unrestricted free agent forward Jalen Luypen was unable to come to terms on a new contract with the Blackhawks and has since departed and signed with the
ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays.
They are the ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals and the AHL's Hershey Bears.
He's played the last 2 years with the Rockford Ice Hogs, and didn't exactly impress with his offense, scoring 34 points (12G, 22A) in 120 total games.
Blackhawks announce roster for Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase
The Blackhawks have recently announced the roster for the 2025 Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase. It will take place at the TRIA Rink at Treasure Island Center in Minnesota, the practice rink of the Minnesota Wild.
It will be Ice Hogs head coach Jared Nightingale who will oversee everything during the event, which will include games against the divisional foe St. Louis Blues and the Wild.
