The Chicago Blackhawks have faced tough times since mid-December, looking more like an AHL team due to injuries to key players like Taylor Hall, Andreas Athanasiou, Anthony Beauvillier, and notably, Connor Bedard.
Bedard's injury on December 18th, requiring jaw surgery and keeping him out, has added to the Blackhawks' struggles with injured forwards.
Bedard's upcoming return excites fans, as they sure do miss their rookie sensation. Surprisingly Bedard still leads all rookies in favorites to win the Calder Trophy (rookie of the year), despite being out for well over a month and counting.
