The Chicago Blackhawks have added 1st-year Chicago forward Andre Burakovsky to their 1st power play unit, and it could be the perfect reinforcement.

Adding 1st year Blackhawks forward Andre Burakovsky to the opening power play unit could prove to be one of the perfect reinforcements for the team and that has helped in their positive start to the new season.
Burakovsky, who was acquired by the Blackhawks from the Seattle Kraken for Joe Veleno over the summer, has swapped places with Teuvo Teravainen on Chicago's 1st power play unit based on their latest line combinations during a recent practice.
Burakovsky joins Nick Foligno, Connor Bedard, Frank Nazar, and Sam Rinzel on the 1st power play unit.
So far in his 1st year with the Blackhawks since the acquisition from the Kraken, Burakovsky has 4 points (2G, 2A).
They need a jolt on the power play, which is now ranked in the bottom 1/3 of all NHL teams at 26th place at 15.6%.

Jeff Blashill Says Chicago's Power Play Must Get Better

Having a power play that ranks near last in the NHL isn't going to cut it for a team that wants to get back into the postseason, and head coach Jeff Blashill, also in his 1st year with the organization, knows it must improve.
'
The power play has to be better. That's the quick answer. It has to be better in the sense, too, that it gives us momentum, so it doesn't cause frustration. That's how your offensive players get confidence; that's how your team builds off it. So we'll keep working with it.

Blashill already has 4 wins in his opening 10 games as coach of the Blackhawks since being hired over the summer after spending the last 3 years as a Tampa Bay Lightning assistant.
