But, since then the KHL has letting major prospects walk, including Ivan Fedotov who made it overseas in April.
Now, we're getting a surprise in the Central Division, as the Blackhawks will get a surprising attendee from the 2023 NHL Draft.
Roman Kantserov was selected 44th overall, and has played in the KHL for Magnitogorsk Metallurg and played 53 games in the KHL, posting 15 points( 7 G, 8 A) and 26 PIMs.
Kantserov will be joining 22 other forwards, including other draft picks from years past including 2022.
Kantserov didn't join the development camp last year, so this is a major development in itself.
Has the KHL decided to be less reactionary, or again show that it delivers some of the best talent from overseas?
Either way, we will have a great gathering of names to see train in the beginning of their eventual journey to the NHL, we hope.
