The Chicago Blackhawks have made another signing today, as Martin Misiak will be assigned to the Rockford IceHogs.
The Slovakian-born prospect was selected 55th overall in the 2nd round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
He was recently in the OHL playing with the Eerie Otters, posting 47 points( 23 G, 24 A) in 60 games during the 2023-2024 season.
«'Martie' is a kid who works extremely hard,» Phantoms head coach Ryan Ward told FloHockey. «He's got all the natural physical tools to be a pro, and he wants to be a pro, and I think that's the biggest thing. He's a super competitive kid, and he's going to do everything he can to put himself in a position to have success.»

Welcome to Rockford, Martin
The Slovakian has found himself in the AHL, just a step below the Blackhawks regular lineup and will have to continue to develop into the two-way forward the team needs.
He was quite valuable to the Youngstown Phantoms and continued to produce when needed in the OHL.
