Towards the end of the year 2022 and sadly now into the New Year of 2023 it seems as if parents/coaches going overboard in kids hockey games is sadly becoming more common as time passes.

The above statement related to an incident that recent happened during a Michigan Hockey game which contained player under 12 years of age. The head coach of a young boys opposing team decided to drag him down to the ice after the final buzzer was blown.

Whatever reason caused him to act this way, which is assumed to be out of anger due to the final horn sounding- maybe they lost the game? No matter what the circumstances are this is just unacceptable at any age level! Bladesofsteel.com noticed a great interesting fact about this photo, the boy who was hauled down is the son of former ECHL Hall of Famer Joel Martin, a goaltender who spent many years in the AJHL,ECHL and USHL.

We are hoping proper discipline is handed out, no adult should be able to step near a rink that does these things.
