By the end of last season, Joey Anderson, Boris Katchouk, MacKenzie Entwistle, and Reese Johnson all comfortably had a roster spot. Now, after off-season moves that brought in Ryan Donato, Corey Perry, Taylor Hall, and Nick Foligno, they find themselves competing with one another for the final roster spot on the team.

Their first step in the process comes tonight against the Minnesota Wild.
Davidson wanted to get some veteran leadership on the team to help out the young guns, and those four don't match that category as they are all young.
Joey Anderson, 25, looked most impressive out of all of them and has the highest ceiling. Anderson came over in a trade that sent Sam Lafferty and Jake McCabe to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Joey had four goals and six points in the 24 games he played here.
