The Edmonton Oilers are in panic mode, as Game 3 approaches of the Stanley Cup Finals. The Oilers are down, 2-0 in the series and need a spark in order to stay competitive against the Florida Panthers.
The Oilers have only scored 1 goal in 2 games, and needless to say Kris Knoblauch and Paul Coffey should be worried that they maybe swept, if they don't re-adjust.
The Panthers have absolutely shutdown the regular season juggernaut that is the Edmonton Oilers, including
Gustav Forsling's ridiculous defense against
Connor McDavid.
Kris Knoblauch says the Oilers have not considered NOT having
Darnell Nurse in their lineup for Game 3.
Corey Perry is likely in. It seems like
Evander Kane is coming out, but we'll see.
As they make adjustments to the lineup, they have once again activated Corey Perry giving his career another jolt, as he can choose to be a difference maker in Game 3.
Also Evander Kane will be scratched, while Knoblauch says Darnell Nurse will play Game 3 as well.
Per Kris Knoblauch:
Corey Perry very likely to come back
Not worried about Darnell Nurse's availability
Nurse finished Game 2, with only 4:20 TOI due to a nagging injury that kept him off the ice.
It appears it may have been mild or just healed up with ice and rest, but regardless you can expect the Alternate Captain to be a factor in the Oilers lineup in Game 3.
