The Chicago Blackhawks turned some heads this offseason and despite being in rebuild mode, almost snuck into the playoffs. With the team doing better than expected, the Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman are expected to use some of their cap space to improve this offseason. One of the clear areas that needs improvement is the blueline. Team needs some puck moving action and help on the power play and it sounds like they've got their target. According to Phil Thompson of the Chicago Tribune, the Blackhawks are expected to target soon to be free agent Tyson Barrie who played last season with the Edmonton Oilers. After having a pretty bad experience in Toronto, Barrie bounced back on his one year deal with the Oilers and registered 8 goals and 40 assists in 56 games which included a massive 23 power play points. Barrie led the league in scoring for defensemen so he'll be looking for a raise on the $3.75million he made last year. Do you think Barrie would be a good fit with the Hawks?
