"The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman announced a couple of roster moves on Monday. To start, the team has placed forward Andrew Shaw on long term injured reserve as he deals with concussion issues. With Shaw's concussion history, hopefully Shaw takes as much time as he needs. Bowman also announced that the team has called up forward Matthew Highmore and defenseman Adam Boqvist. Both players will enjoy their second stint in Chicago this season as Highmore played two games earlier this season and Boqvist played six. Boqvist, the Hawks' top defensive prospect, scored his first career NHL goal during his six game stint and has registered six points in 15 games with Rockford in the AHL.
