The future of one NHLer has intrigued fans all summer long, but there's been a recent update that might change that.
Joe Thornton was reportedly offered a contract extension recently.
San Jose Sharks GM Mike Grier gave this quote during a press conference recently, to discussions about the future of Thornton.
«Things are kind of up to him. I don't know if he wants to play or not play, when he figures that out, and his family figures that out, then I'm sure have a conversation with him at some point,» said Grier.
Thornton played the majority of his career with the Bruins and Sharks, but ended up becoming a journeyman of sorts, during the last few seasons; with the Panthers, and Leafs.
Does Thornton continue his career, or is he done? Comment below.
