The first goal of the Blackhawks' season came in the second period with about nine minutes left to go.
It was scored by Philipp Kurashev and assisted by Connor Bedard and Kevin Korchinski.
Kurashev underwent the arbitration process this off-season and came out of it with a two year, $4 million deal. It's nice to see him kickstarting his little over one million dollar raise with a goal.
Connor Bedard and Kevin Korchinski are a huge part of the Hawks future. Of course, Connor Bedard razzled dazzled everyone in the United Center earlier tonight with his deeke around Neighbours and Buchnevich. Korchinski is the best defensive prospect we have, and it's a nice bounce back after serving time in the penalty box earlier tonight.
All three look to have a good future ahead of them with Chicago.
