The Hockey Community Mourns The Loss of 18-Year Old Canadian Boy
The hockey community, though vast, also forms a tight-knit family where tough situations can strike unexpectedly.
Today, the Waterloo Siskins of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League took to Twitter to share the sad news of 18-year-old defenseman Tyson Downs' passing.
Hailing from Owen Sound, Downs played one season with the Siskins, showcasing his talent through six goals and seventeen assists in forty-five games.
The loss of a young individual is incomprehensible, and our hearts go out to Downs' family, friends, teammates, and anyone impacted by this tragic event. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
