The Chicago Blackhawks are announcing new ownership
The Wirtz Corporation owns and operates the Chicago Blackhawks, and has been under the leadership of CEO Rocky Wirtz since 2007.
Rocky helped turn the team into a dynasty in the 2010's, and regrettably passed away on July 25th, 2023.

Rocky took over from his father Bill, who didn't have a successful tenure leading the team. Now, Danny Wirtz is taking over as CEO to continue the family legacy.
Since Rocky's passing, the Wirtz Corporation has also invested in the USHL's Chicago Steel. Danny will have to navigate the aftermath of the Kyle Beach scandal as he leads the new face of the team.
The 2010 legacy holdovers are being removed, and the Wirtz legacy is committed to learning from past mistakes and achieving success.
The hiring of Kyle Davidson and Luke Richardson suggests that the team is heading in the right direction.
