Team USA's Coach Calls Out Controversial Officiating in Elimination Game
Team Canada kicked off last nights ''Winner goes to the finals'' game against Team USA being in a deficit of 0-2, before quickly turning on the jets and scoring six straight to take a 6-2 win final. The way things went down were controversial to say the least, Team USA had two goals called off for goaltender interference, and their head coach Rand Pecknold sure voiced his frustration during post-game interviews.
"I would say I'm pretty frustrated at the two disallowed goals. I'm not going to comment on officiating other than you've got 18 or 19-year-old kids in this environment and you had two taken away. That's a huge part of the game, for sure," said Pecknold following the loss.
"I'm not going to comment on the officials - the head of officials can deal with that one."
The two goals shown below were both disallowed, one of them was quite the obvious goaltender interference violation but the other one was very questionable.
