REPORT: Former NHL'er and Gold Medal Winner Dead at Age 55
The bad news has seemed to continue into the New Year of 2023.
We regret to announce the passing of Belorussian hockey player ''Bam Bam'', Sergei Bautin. He has sadly passed away at the young age of 55, he was a first round, seventeenth overall pick in the 1992 NHL draft.
Bautin played for the Winnipeg Jets, Detroit Red Wings and the San Jose Sharks. Bautin tallied up 30 points alongside a handful of penalty minutes, with 176 penalty minutes throughout 132 NHL games played.
After his NHL career he took place in many promising season in Russia, Sweden and Germany. He was also in the 1997 World Championships on Team Russia.
We send our thoughts and prayers out to the Bautin family, friends and loved ones.
