With the 2022 NHL Draft, and opening of Free Agency 2022 in the rearview, big pieces have moved around, and potential new duos are set to emerge this coming season.

Recently Huberdeau, and Matthew Tkachuk were swapped for each other, along with Mackenzie Weegar and Cold Schwindt.
How about the thought of Tkachuk and Barkov playing together. Or Mackenzie Weegar alongside Nikita Zadorov. Finally Lindholm and Huberdeau making high IQ plays, dishing the puck to an open Tyler Toffoli.
Johnny Gaudreau signed an extension with the Columbus Blue Jackets; prompting the thought of a line with Laine and Gaudreau playing together, added to the other young weapons that Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen has acquired via trade and the NHL Draft.
Max Pacioretty was dealt to the Carolina Hurricanes, along with defenceman Dylan Coghlan in exchange for future considerations. Picture Aho and Teravainen making ridiculous plays together before dishing the puck over to an open Max Pacioretty, apparently the Hurricanes agree.
Kent Johnson making space out there with his elite hands and vision for plays to Sillinger to snipe the puck past goaltenders.
Slafkovsky creating space with his hands, IQ and size for the Canadiens smaller wingers to sneak in for crafty scoring opportunity.
Claude Giroux and Brady Tkachuk's complimentary styles giving opposing team's a fit, and creating space for Stuetzle or Josh Norris on the powerplay.
Burns quarterbacking a powerplay with the likes of Svechnikov, Aho, Pacioretty, Slavin, Teuvo, Seth Jarvis etc. for Carolina.
Debrincat receiving passes from Josh Norris and Mathieu Joseph, what a dynamic trio that could develop into.
Cutter Gauthier and JVR making space for a Cam York, or Joel Farabee one-timer for the Flyers.
There are many more duos; both to emerge and that I haven't mentioned, stay tuned for an article ahead of NHL training camp in late August.
