Ottawa Senators Accused Of Cheating and MORE: The Proof Revealed
According to TSN's Steve Warne the wheels, or at least early proceedings had been discussed regarding the Senators bringing in a veteran centre to mentor the you.
Claude Giroux had this to say during a radio interview with TSN radio.
«It was at the All-Star game last year. Brady came up to me. I had never really met him before. He goes, "I was told to be nice to you this weekend, so you can maybe come with us (to Ottawa) next year." It was a joke. And I really didn't think anything of it. Since then, I never thought it would actually happen. But here I am,» enthused Giroux about early proceedings, which ultimately led to his homecoming to Ottawa.
Is it odd, or even against the rules, to basically have players groomed to convince others to sign with their team?
Giroux certainly could teach captain Tkachuk a thing or two, considering he was a captain at a young age, and also thrived because of mentors. Which Giroux will provide his tips to the Senators young roster.
