NHL Radio Host Calls Out Blackhawks General Manager From An Offseason Trade

The Chicago Blackhawks have made it to the playoffs just once in their past 5 seasons, losing in the 1st round of the 2020 playoffs. The Blackhawks were once considered a dynasty winning 3 Stanley Cups in 6 years from 2010 through 2016, sadly those days are long gone.

Now the Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson is trading away anyone of value if it means acquiring picks and or prospects in return. Blackhawks fans weren't to happy with some of Davidson's recent moves this off-season including NHL radios Dan Rosen who questioned one move specifically.

The Blackhawks traded away Kirby Dach to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange of some picks. After just being drafted 3rd Overall in 2019'NHL draft. Rosen would say:

I didn't quite understand the Kirby Dach trade from the Blackhawks perspective when it happened. I understand the Dach trade from the Blackhawks perspective even less now.

He's big, strong, physical, protective, and he's just 21. Dach hasn't even played 200 games yet. - Dan Rosen

I'd have to agree with Rosen's thoughts, I think this trade benefits the Montreal Canadiens as Dach has already has his most points in a season in Montreal, and playing along side a Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Juraj Slafkovsky, this trade looks like a home run for the Canadiens.

Dach has already stuck it to his former club scoring the shoot-out winner in his return to Chicago where he was booed all night but seemed to enjoy it.
