Massive Goalie Trade Expected to Occur This Weekend
Last season, the Buffalo Sabres turned heads with the kind of season they had, so they are looking to compete over the next few years. The team finished 5th in a tough Atlantic Division with 91 points.
With this in mind, GM Kevyn Adams is looking for another goalie to add to a team that already has a deep roster.
Exciting Goalie Trade To Occur?
Currently, the team has its eyes on two goalies in the NHL, as both have been looking to leave their current teams.
With Ukka-Pekka Luukkonen not being consistent enough to win the starting job, Buffalo will have to look elsewhere for help in the crease. It will be necessary to find a true starter until
Devon Levi or UPL can be incorporated into rotation once Devon Levi has been brought up.
Vezina Trophy Winner or Stanley Cup Winner
It was mentioned not too long ago that
Logan Thompson was interested in leaving the Vegas Golden Knights.
There will be a high asking price for Thompson, but the question is whether the Golden Knights will let him go. Thompson played a major role in the Golden Knights' Stanley Cup run. With
Adin Hill taking over the crease, it's still a great goalie pairing.
On the other hand, the Winnipeg Jets
Connor Hellebuyck has said that he wants to join a contender this summer. However, it's been said that Hellebuyck may end up staying in Winnipeg, but nothing confirmed as of yet.
Can the Buffalo Sabres afford to pay the Vezina Trophy winner's asking price? Hellebuyck will be in Winnipeg for the Jets' opening game.
