Ex Blackhawk returns to the Stockholm to explore new ideas
Johnny Oduya, a retired NHL player who had played for multiple teams including the Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Stars and Ottawa Senators, has been exploring new opportunities since his retirement in 2018.
Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, he has been mentoring the latest Chicago Blackhawks prospects.
Johnny Oduya spent time with the Blackhawks prospects this week to teach them breathing techniques. I visited Oduya in Stockholm last summer to check out all of his post-playing career ventures.
Apart from that, he has been actively involved in entrepreneurship and meditation, having co-founded a practice called "Hale" in 2021 with his partner Daniel Muller.
Oduya has been guiding prospects on breathing techniques which are an essential component of relaxation and meditation.
The former Stanley Cup champion has also managed to keep himself occupied by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and making his presence felt on Instagram.
He even launched a clothing line called "Atunya," meaning Lion in Kenyan, catering to the needs of athletes.
Despite retiring from the NHL, Johnny Oduya is leading a successful and fulfilling life.
